Don Colliver is a clown, improvisor, director and writer. He recently finished an international tour as clown host of Speigelworld’s Empire, has performed with Blue Man Group, and is a member of the Cirque du Soleil performer database.
He has performed at festivals including Coachella and Lightning in a Bottle, and is a member of the Hollywood Fringe award-winning clown troupes Wet the Hippo and Four Clowns. Don is a founding member of The Innocents clown troupe and the award-winning mainstage iO sketch team DJ Faucet.
He originated the lead roles of Butterbeans Arbuckle in Four Clowns’ The Halfwits Last Hurrah (Fringe Award for Best in Physical Theater 2015), Noah in the Four Clowns production of Noah, and Captain Buck in the 60’s space sex farce Wild Space A Go Go.
Don has studied clown with Sue Morrison, John Gilkey, David Bridel, Daniel Passer, Paola Coletto and Aitor Basauri, trains at Tim Robbins’ Actors Gang, and has studied comedy at UCB Advanced Study, Improv Olympic and Second City.
